Nancy Parrish serves as Program Manager for GovMVMT, the premier purchasing cooperative offering both public agencies and supplier partners innovative procurement solutions in the marketplace.
A California native and graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, Nancy started her career in public service working for Santa Barbara County. After moving to Washington, DC she worked for the National Association of Counties Financial Services Center (NACo FSC) for 12 years as part of the team that developed and launched U.S. Communities as a national cooperative. Specifically, she focused on marketing and partner relationships with the original national sponsors of the program (National League of Cities, U.S. Conference of Mayors, Association of School Business Officials, and the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing) and their state affiliate organizations.
Nancy returned to California to lead the California State Association of Counties Finance Corporation (CSAC FC) in developing and overseeing its public finance programs including U.S. Communities and CalTRUST in collaboration with the California League of Cities and California Special Districts Association.
Nancy joined the GovMVMT team with a special focus on providing public benefits to local and state governments, K-12 school districts, community colleges, and public universities. As the daughter of two public servants, a graduate of the California public school and university system, and the proud parent of two grown children who attended public schools, public service comes first.
In her free time, Nancy enjoys shopping at local farmers’ markets, traveling internationally to out-of-the-way places, getting outdoors anywhere in California, and spending time with family and friends.
